On Thursday 14th July, Ian Shenton won the Arden Division by-election to Warwickshire County Council with 59% of the vote.
The election was because of the sad death of Cllr John Horner who represented the area for nearly 10 years.
Ian Shenton said "Thank you to everyone who voted in the by-election. And to all of our local volunteers who supported my campaign. I now look forward to delivering my plan for Arden. I would like to dedicate the win to John Horner, who will be deeply missed."
Nadhim Zahawi said "Well done to Cllr Ian Shenton for his election win in Arden. Ian and our amazing Conservative activists worked tirelessly for the win and I look forward to working with him to represent the people of Arden".
The results for the Arden Division by-election were:
Conservatives - 1,609 - Ian Shenton ELECTED
Liberal Democrat - 854
Labour 251
