The important safety improvement scheme on the Warwick Road was completed in July.
Following multiple concerns raised by residents, Warwickshire County Councillor Tim Sinclair had been pushing for investment here for some time. He welcomed the funds from the Department for Transport which initiated the project. The works meant major changes at the Ingon Lane junction, a reduced speed limit, improved signage and lighting, new safe crossing points, new safe walking and cycling facilities, measures to prevent illegal parking opposite the Fisherman's car park and a full resurface. Tim held fortnightly meetings with the project team to reflect residents’ views throughout the scheme and to get updates and answers. He then regularly posted on Facebook, so that everyone knew what was going on.
