Being involved in the Conservatives is certainly NOT all heavy politics. On Friday night two very successful social events took place with nearly 120 people attending across two events, one in Alcester and the other in Brailes.
Over 70 people packed into the Jubilee Centre in Alcester for a 'Yes Minister' evening. Two episodes of the classic BCC Sitcom were shown. Local members also put on some sketches from the show with County Councillor Mark Cargill playing Jim Hacker. A good time was had by all. Tickets were just £12.50 and included a two course dinner. The event was so successful that the branch are considering holding a follow up in March as a 'Yes Prime Minister' event.
Meanwhile Brailes branch held a drinks and canapes evening. Our MP Nadhim Zahawi attended and chatted with 40 people packed in for friendly conversation and more than a little wine.
